I bought one today and the level was inaccurate by one whole degree. Did not find this out until shelf was installed. DOH feel ripped off.

As an aviator, it was a refreashing cross application of technologies. On the down side, the level lines on the ball have warn off even before I took the wrappers off them (I bought two), so I am returning them.

I saw this heavily touted ball level in Lowes today. Since the level has not changed in 100 years, the world needs new innovation in basic levels. I have used all levels, Box, I-beam, plastic, 2 foot, etc. The Hanson level is truely a revolutionary design, but it has many many short commings. First, it's too damn big! Second, the main feature (The ball and housing) is cheaply made.
The red line is too thin and was comming off at the X spot. Insted of painting the line on the outside of the ball...the manufacturer should have imbedded a thin red
wire in the inside. Wire, not paint. the ball is wobbly and not really quick read. it makes one dizzy to study in use. ThereI've seen another level by an emerging company that will blow this out of the water. What I saw was level to end all levels.

I just bought this level today. I thought it would be great for cabinet installations. I have plenty of other levels but percision is best. I set it on my shop bench and saw that my bench was out of level , 1" in 6' (NOT!!) so I checked it against 9 different levels from torpedo to 6' and they all confirmed the percision ball level is wrong. Quality controll problems I think. It isn't damaged so I must assume it left the factory that way. I don't think I'll get another.
