Only problem I've had with them is that on west ozzie hardwoods (jarrah & karri) the pencil keeps breaking unless I use one that is so hard that it can't be seen. This isn't the fault of the tool, but is someting to keep in mind. Otherwise best rule I've used for marking out. DW Great rule and beautifully made. I've had this tool for about a year and find it extremely useful in the shop. It's made of high quality materials that will last you a very long time in just about all conditions.
